I did what it said on the packet and rinsed it but for quite a few cups I had a metallic taste but now thats worn off it is very good

Not sure what I expected, maybe the water is just too hard in my area but not sure this works.
Was desperate as so much scale in my kettle, even bought a new kettle to find the same thing happening.
Product may work for others but not for me.
Don't let this put you off though.

I followed the instructions as directed and gave the protecter a good rinse before using it in the kettle. I used it for about 2 weeks and the kettle protector kept shedding tiny bits of wire in to the water. I thought this was dangerous as those bits of metal can cause serious problems if you were to swallow one whilst drinking your coffee. Took it out and threw it away. Waste of money.

Work well to reduce scale, we live in a hard water area and use 3 of these in the kettle to reduce limescale flakes in our tea!

Not as good as the old type. Wire so thin if you try to clean bits out you actually hurt fingers on it. Prefer old ones with thicker smooth wire

No idea of this works. Inside kettle is no different, still having to de scale occasionally.

Not sure if its our water, but the kettle still furs up with limescale.
